1/Can you introduce yourself?
まずは自己紹介をして頂けないでしょうか。

I feel the mood of the era and do the original design for each clients.
I always think about space with the dream, mental richness and the device that the world prospers for making opportunities.

時代のムードを感じながらオリジナルテイーあるデザインを各クライアントの為にしていきます。
夢のある空間や精神的に豊かで世の中が繁栄するような装置というかきっかけ作りを
常に考えていますね。

2/Please tell us the chance to have become a Interior Designer.
インテリアデザイナーになったきっかけを教えて下さい。

I look at some space and impressed about making air.
It is so wonderful to give an impression and relief to the people.

いくつかの空間を見て空気を作る事のすばらしさを感じたのがきっかけかな。
人に感動を与えたり安心感を与えたりとてもすばらしい事だと思います。

3/Do you have the influenced artist?
影響を受けたアーティストはいますか?

Both artist are using light for unique way.
I like pursing light in the space so I was affected by them.

両者とも光を独特な使い方をするARTISTなんですね。
僕自身は、空間に光を求めるのが好きなので、彼らには、影響を受けました。
作品の写真を見ていただけたら感じてもらえると思いますが、光により空間が変化したりする
光の表現を、体験してみてください。

4/Please tell us about your company.
柿谷さんの会社について教えてください。

About my company design style, we have 2 ways of themes.
We push forward a design by a form and light which is one of theme at our company and the othe one is Connotation and liberation.
we do such project.

デザインスタイルという僕自身の会社についてですが、テーマは２つあります。
一つは形態と光について、もう一つは内包と解放をテーマに各クライアントに対してデザインを進めて対応していきます。
そのようなPROJECTを進めていくカンパニーです。

5/What is your most impressive works?
今までで、一番思い出深い作品やプロジェクトについて教えて頂けないでしょうか。

Its a Japanese restaurant called SHUN in ueno where the expression of the light is well done.
And this Italian Japanese restaurant called sumile in shibuya which built a year ago.
9th floor building and the view from here is so beautiful.
In fact, this is a project of artist Miwa Yoshida and Masato Nakamura of dreams come true.

上野にある旬という和食屋さんですかね。
光の表現がうまくできていると思います。

もう一つは、約一年前に作った渋谷にあるsumileという
イタリアンモダンジャパ二イーズレストランかな。
９階のビルで、非常に夜景が奇麗な場所です。
実はドリカムの吉田美和さんと中村正人さんのプロジェクトなんですよ。

6/What work do you want to be going to do in the future?
これからは、どんな作品を手掛けて行きたいですか？

A place full of people. house space like hotel, for example office, the environmental design of the commercial institution and not only that but how you can enjoy there.

人の集まる場所ですね。
ホテルみたいな住空間や、例えば、商業施設の環境設計やオフィスなど、 それだけでなくそこでどう楽しんで行けるかと考えていきたいですね。

7/What music do you like?
好きな音楽は何ですか？

I listen all the kind of music but always back to the original. In such a case, Bob Marley may be good.
That beat gives me the feel relieved.

いつもいろんな音楽を聞くのですが、ついつい原点にもどってしまいます。
そんな時は、レゲエのボブマーリーなんかは、良いかもしれません。
あの鼓動が安心できます。

8/How do you think the flow of digital will evolve?
これからのデジタルの流れについてどうなっていくと思いますか？

It is very convenient to use degital for angle and the speed but, It is very important fusion with writing like human sense, feel with the body like an analog.

いろんな角度やスピードは、デジタルを使う事で非常に便利なところですが、手で描くような人間的な感覚、身体で感じられるアナログ的なものとの融合が大事だと思います。
