1/Can you introduce yourself?
はじめに自己紹介をして頂けないでしょうか。

HI, my name is JOUTAROU SAITOU.
I am a KIMONO DESIGNER.
It acts as a textile artist recently.
I was born in the dye shop of the kimono of Kyoto, touched the kimono for a long time, and grew up.

こんにちは。斉藤上太郎です。
キモノデザイナーという職業をしております。
最近はテキスタイルアーティストとしてもいろいろとお声を掛けていただきます。
京都のキモノの染屋に生まれ、昔からキモノに触れて育ちました。

2/Please tell us the chance to have become a KIMONO DESIGNER.
キモノデザイナーになったきっかけを教えて下さい。

The chance that I become the designer of the kimono succeeded the father back very usually.
Is it disappointing?
However, I thought that it became not the workman but a designer.
Because The kimono wanted to prove it to be not "Tool" but a real close.

キモノのデザイナーになったきっかけはごく普通に親父の後を歩いた。
期待外れでしょうか・・。
ただ、職人ではなくデザイナーにならねばと思った。
キモノは「道具」ではなくリアルクローズであることを証明したかったから。

3/Is there an influenced person?
影響を受けた方はいらっしゃいますか?

It is first SANSAI SAITOU (father), and will keep the target for a long time hereafter.
I am influenced from various one.
It bears it in mind as accepted.

まず斉藤三才（親父です）、これからもずっと目標であり続けるでしょう。
それと、私はいろいろな方から影響を受けます。というか受け入れるように心がけています。
また、斉藤三才氏の折れない信念は見習うべき・・頑固・・かな。（笑）。

4/I think that it has been done that it is many new by the current, could you tell us the deepest memories?
今まででいくつもの新しいことをされてきたと思いますが、一番思い出深いことを教えて頂けないでしょうか。

Because it is a challenge to the thing with a new usual work, it cannot be said this easily, it is a show of the kimono collection in Yokohama of four years ago if it dares to enumerate it.
Gooseflesh stood even from me in the show that accordion player's Mr. coba had performed.
Lobbies in peninsula Tokyo that opened this autumn were produced working other than the kimono, and the putting cloth of a central sofa was a design and produced.
A traditional technology of Kyoto was used and produced.

毎回の仕事が新しい事への挑戦ですのでなかなかこれとは言えないのですが、しいて挙げれば4年前の横浜でのキモノコレクションのショーでしょうか、アコーディオン奏者のcobaさんに演奏していただいたショーは自分でも鳥肌が立ちました。
キモノ以外の仕事では今秋オープンしたペニンシュラ東京のロビー、センターソファの張り生地をデザイン制作したことでしょうか。
京都の伝統的な技術を用いて制作させていただきました。

5/What kind of work do you want to handle in the future? Or do you want to try?
これからどんな作品を手掛けて行きたいですか？　もしくは、やってみたいことはありますか?

I want to keep honestly creating the novel style in me about the kimono.
I want to make the product by the collaboration on business of the textile with various manufacturers.
And, production wants to do the "JOTARO SAITO" shop that centered on the kimono as a compilation of the style that I propose.

キモノについてはこれからも自分に正直に新しいスタイルを創り続けたいと思います。
テキスタイルの仕事ではいろいろなメーカーとコラボレーションによるプロダクトを造っていきたいと思います。
そして私の提案するスタイルの集大成としてキモノを中心とした「ＪＯＴＡＲＯ　ＳＡＩＴＯ」ショップをプロデュースしてみたいですね。

6/What music do you like?
好きな音楽は何ですか？

Lenny Kravitz, Bon Jovi, Linkin, Annie Lennox, Dream Comes Ture, and so Coba.

レニークラヴィッツ、ボンジョビ、リンキン、アニーレノックス、ドリカム、 もちろんcoba。

7/How do you think the flow of digital will evolve?
これからのデジタルの流れについてどうなっていくと思いますか？

Though it is not possible to imagine to might the combination that is anyway small each part of hardness, and becomes lightness and various shape and not imagined.
It is likely to become more convenient.

想像ができませんが、ハードの各部がとにかく小型、軽量、いろいろな形になって想像しなかったモノに組み合わされていくのでしょうね。
もっと？便利？になるのでしょう多分。
