1/Can you introduce yourself?
自己紹介をして頂けないでしょうか。

My name is TAKAO SAITO, and I am story comic creator.
After I start the serial of the young person comic magazine, 39 years passed this year.
My most important work is "GOLGO 13" and "ONIHEIHANKACHOU".

劇画家のさいとう・たかをです。
今年で青年コミック誌に連載を始めてから39年目になるね。
私の代表作は、「ゴルゴ13」や『鬼平犯科帳』だな。

2/Why are you starting this job?
なぜ、この仕事を始めたのですか？

Because I thought that only this had the talent by it.

これしか自分に才能がないと思ったから。

3/A work most recently remained in memories?
最近、一番印象深い仕事は何ですか?

There is especially no work with a deep impression.

印象深いという仕事は、特にありません。

4/Please tell me your favorite production.
あなたのお気に入りの作品について教えてくれませんか。

It is "MUYOUNOSUKE" of the period play.
This is a work written before "Golgo 13" is started.
I have imported feelings to the hero.

まだ「ゴルゴ13」を始める前に書いた時代劇の「無用ノ介」だな。
主人公に感情移入してしまったんだ。



5/Tell me about your new project plane?
あなたの新しいプロジェクトの計画を教えて下さい。

I have continued to make the work for 52 years as a comic story person.
Therefore, there is no new project, and I want to make own time more.

劇画家として52年、作品を作り続けてきました。
新しいプロジェクトはなく、自分自身の時間をもっと作っていきたいね。

6/What do you think of the flow of digital?
デジタルの流れについて、どう思いますか？

I think that the world of the comic story is not paper and will become it in the future.
And the personal computer and the cellular phone become main currents.

劇画の世界も、今後は紙媒体ではなく、パソコンや携帯電話が主流になってくるだろうね。

7/What is favorite music?
好きな音楽は何ですか？

I like Latin music.
I often heard a voodoo suite of Damaso Perez Prado 40 years ago.

ラテンミュージックが好きだね。
ペレス・プラードのブードゥー組曲は、40年前によく聞いたね。

8/What is your dream?
夢は、何ですか？

Own time is increased a little more.
And I want to try the gardening etc.

もう少し自分自身の時間を増やして、ガーデニングなどをやってみたいね。
