1/Please introduce yourself.
まず、自己紹介して下さい。

Hello, my name is Aldrin.
I'm a DJ/ Producer based in Singapore.
For the last 10 years, I've been a resident DJ at the world renowned Zouk Club here in Singapore, with last 5 years also being the club's DJ booking manager.
Currently, I'm an associate resident DJ for the club, and I do my bi-monthly nights there.
The rest of the time, I'm either travelling around the world for gigs, or home working on music productions, and running my digital label - OneWithMusic.

どうも。アルドリンといいます。
シンガポールでの活動がメインで、１０年前からzoukのレジデントとして、又その内の５年間は、djのBOOKINGマネージャーとしても働いてます。
現在は、zoukのレジデントとしての自分自身のpartyと世界中のギグの為にフライトを重ね、自分のデジタルレーベルOneWithMusicの為に音楽制作をしています。

2/Project most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているプロジェクトは何ですか？

My remix of "Love In New Wave" by a Singapore rock band called Electrico, released on Italy's Cosmonote Blue Records.
It did surprisingly well, with Pete Tong loving it so much, he put it heavy rotation on his BBC Radio One Show, and played it on all his gigs.

僕が手掛けた"Love In New Wave"というシンガポールのロックバンドのエレクトロっぽいリミックスがイタリアのCosmonote Blue Recordsからリリースされ、Pete Tong が、気にいってくれてbbcのラジオのショーと彼のギグでヘビーローテーションしてくれている事かな。

3/A gig most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているギグは何ですか？

I played a gig Bangalore, India in August 2007.
The promoters had transformed a very small hotel lobby lounge (with seating for about 50 people, the most), into a club environment, with sound system and disco lightings.
They obviously had promoted the event very well, as they managed to pack in 600 people, with 200 more outside trying to get in!!
The queue started at 8pm, the inside was filled by 10pm with the crowd going crazy, and by 11.30pm everything ended!
I was totally amazed at the response, especially with such early clubbing hours!
People came out early, partied early, and then went off for dinner! Amazing!

2007年8月のギグがインドであった時の事かな。
プロモーターは非常に小さいホテルのロビーのラウンジ(およそ50人分の着席ぐらいの広さ)を、
サウンドシステムとディスコ照明でクラブに変えました。
プロモーションがうまくいったみたいで、200人でも多い状態なのに、外で何とか600人が待っています。
待ち行列は午後8時に始まりました。
そして、午後10時には、盛り上がり過ぎのクラウドでいっぱいになりました。
午後11時３０分には、すべてが終わりました。
僕は、そのような早めの盛り上がる時間やクラウドに完全に驚いていました。
クラウドは、早い時間に出て来て、パーティーへ行って、夕食のために早めに帰りました。
早すぎたあまりの展開に驚くべき出来事です。

4/Recently, please tell me the your favorite track.
最近の曲で気に入ってるトラックは何ですか？

My remix of "Love Life Dynamite" by SIngaporean production duo Angela Flame & Case Woo, forthcoming on Japan's Asian Dynasty Records.

僕が手掛けたリミックスで、シンガポールのAngela Flame & Case Wooの"Love Life Dynamite"という曲で、日本のAsian Dynasty Recordsからリリースされる曲かな。

5/How was this remix or original achieved?(How is the tune made?)
そのリミックス／オリジナルはどうやって制作しましたか？

I did this remix fully on Logic Pro.
I was inspired by the main melody riff of the original, which reminded me very much of Depeche Mode, a band which I'm a big fan of.
I used many different small sounds and efx from the original to build the track progressively to reach massive breakdown, where the main melody riff takes control and leads the track into an epic crescendo.
I've been very happy with the reaction so far, and I'm hoping this remix will do well in the months to come.

完全にLogic Proでこのリミックスをしました。
オリジナルの主なメロディーのリフによって奮い立たせられました。
デペッシュ・モードのようなバンドをイメージしました。
異なる様々なサウンドエフェクトを使い主なメロディーリフが、エピックなクレッシェンドで、
導くようなイメージで制作しました。
この曲がとても良いリアクションになる事を望んでいるし、うまく行く事を願っています。

7/What will you think the music download to become it in the future?
音楽のデジタル配信の流れと将来をどう思う？

Music downloads will become the industry standard for buying music in the very near future.
With the advent of softwares like Serato, it is only a matter of time before vinyl and CDs become obsolete.
I myself have moved on to Serato simply because there's just so much music being produced and released each day, that I'm wasting valuable time compiling, burning, and labeling CDs!

音楽ダウンロードは近いうちに購入音楽のための業界基準になるでしょう。
セラートのようなsoftwaresの到来で、レコードとCDが時代遅れになる前にそれは時間の問題であるにすぎませんね。
僕自身は、セラートに音楽ファイルを整理して、CDをコンパイルして、焼いて、ラベルするような貴重な時間を浪費しています。
