1/Please introduce yourself.
まず、自己紹介して下さい。

I'm known as dj unkle and I'm not related to U.N.K.L.E., so do take note of the difference.
I started dj-ing since the 1980s, back in the disco era and I did my gigs as the main dj for numerous famous and popular clubs in Korea.
I opened up the first electronic club, M.I. (music intelligence), back in 1995 and currently I'm working as a dj, remixer, producer, and promoter as well as owner of the biggest club in Korea, m2.

僕は、dj unkleとして活動しているんだ。U.N.K.L.E.じゃないよ。
ちゃんと違いに注目してね。
1980年のディスコ時代から、DJをはじめているんだ。
僕は、韓国の有名で人気のある数々のクラブでギグをしてきたんだ。
1995年に最初のエレクトロニッククラブであるM.I. (music intelligence)をオープンさせたんだよ。
現在では、DJ、リミキサー、プロデューサーとしてだけでなく、韓国の最も大きなクラブであるm2のオーナー、プロモーターとして働いているよ。

2/Project most recently remained in memories?
最近で一番印象深いプロジェクトは何でしょうか？

I am focusing in opening up a different type of club.
Currently, the trend is to open clubs for commercial purposes.
I would like to change that and provide a more cultural environment that is music-oriented.

今まで違うタイプのクラブをオープンするには、だいぶ手がかかったね。
現在での傾向は、商業目的のためにクラブをオープンすることなんです。
だから、それを変えて、音楽指向であり、より文化的な環境を提供したいと思っているんだ。

3/A gig most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているギグは何ですか？

Recently, I have been actively involved in a couple of big party projects both in Seoul and Osaka.
As my first tour overseas, my recent spin at SAZA*E in Osaka is definitely one of my most memorable ones.

最近では、ソウルと大阪の2つ大きなパーティーのプロジェクトに関わったね。
僕の始めての海外ツアーだったけど、大阪のSAZA*Eでのスピンは本当に忘れ難いものの1つに
なったんだ。

4/Recently, please tell me the your favorite track.
最近のお気に入りのトラックを教えて下さい。

There is really not much in my answers.
I am always looking forward to tomorrow's tune, as I expect it to be better then today's.
If anything, this would mean that my current tune is zero and I am always on the look for better music.

これは、ちょっと答えにくいね。
だって、いつも今日聞いた楽曲よりも、より良い楽曲を探しているんだ。
どちらかと言えば、今は、お気に入りの楽曲っていうのはないね。
それはいつも、良い音楽を探しているからだよ。

5/How was this remix or original achieved? (How is the tune made?)
そのリミックス／オリジナルはどうやって制作した？

Moira has been a great support in terms of remix & tunes.
As I enjoy the progressive side, I tend to work on tunes that can be felt the more that these are played, rather than those that bring immediate satisfaction.

Moriaが素晴らしい曲とリミックスのサポートをしてくれたんだ。
プログレッシヴサイドでは、すぐにプレイ出来るような満足できるものに仕上がったね。

6/What will you think the music download to become it in the future?
音楽のデジタル配信の流れと将来をどう思う？

I used to stay away from CDs and mp3s as I go way back into the analog period.
Yet as time goes by and place more importance in the quality of the sound, I have seen myself work more and more on the digitalizing vinyl sound.
I guess this shows that sounds, feelings, and thoughts can be conditioned.

アナログ時代だったときは、CDやMP3とは、ちょっと距離をおいていたね。
でも時が経って、いろいろなところでサウンドのクオリティがより重要になってくる。
だから、レコードのサウンドのデジタル化がもっともっと進んでくれればいいよね。
僕は、サウンドやフィーリングは、いい環境になってくると思うよ。
