まずは自己紹介を。

Hi everybody I am Joi cardwell.
I am a singer , songwriter and producer from NYC.
I have been making records for 20 years now since I was first signed to Arista records as a teenager.
I have put out records with everyone from Frankie Knuckles, Louie Vega, Barbara Tucker, to Studio Apt, Tei Towa, Dj. Koutarou. A, and Daishe Dance.

ニューヨークで歌手、ソングライター兼プロデューサーをしているの。
１０代の頃、Arista recordsと契約してから２０年間レコードを発売しているわ。

2/Project most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているプロジェクトは何ですか？

Wow there are so many.
I feel that the "Be Yourself"/ Keep Hope Alive project was very special because the song was written to be a benefit to Lifebeat - a US charity which fights against AIDS. I got to sing and work with so many of my favorite House singers.

ワァオ、いっぱいあるわね。
"Be Yourself"/Keep Hope Aliveはとても特別なものになったわ、なぜならこの歌はLifebeatへのチャリティーソングだったのよ。AIDSと戦う人の為へのチャリティーよ。
私のお気に入りな沢山のhouse singerの人達と一緒に歌い、お仕事する事が出来たわ。

3/A gig most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているギグは何ですか？

My Best gig changes all the time but I have to say my best gig in Japan was at Yello last December.
The crowd was very "genki" and singing along to all my music.
It almost made me cry to see how happy my music makes my fans feel.

いつも変わるけど、昨年の１２月に日本のyelloでのgigはとても最高だった。
皆とても"ゲンキ"で、全ての曲を一緒に歌ってくれたのよ。
私の音楽でファンの皆がhappyになるのを見てたら泣きそうになってしまったわ。

4/Original of the favor and recent tune or remix?
最近の曲で気に入ってるオリジナル／リミックスは？

My favorite tracks. songs that i have recorded are " Club Lonely", "Soul to Bare", and "Love is the Answer" they all represent personal experiences that i can share with people.

私のお気に入りのトラックは、"Club Lonely", "Soul to Bare", and "Love is the Answer"かしら。
これらの曲は全てが実体験がもととなっているから、皆も共感出来ると思うの。

5/How was this remix or original achieved?
そのリミックス／オリジナルはどうやって制作した？

I am working on a new record with Kaztake from A hundred Birds for a new CD release in japan of some of my best Hits and new songs.
The song is called Celia/A beautiful Life.
My dream is to be able to continue to write and perform music that makes people feel good about themselves and their lives.

ヒットした曲と新しい曲をA hundred BirdsのKaztakeと共に日本でCDを発売する為に働いてるの。Celia/A beautiful Lifeと言う曲よ。
私の夢はこれからも曲を書き下ろして歌を披露して、その曲で皆を幸せにする事なの。

6/What do you think of the flow and the music download of digital in the future?
音楽のデジタル配信の流れと将来をどう思う？

I think legal digital music is no longer the future but the present.
Like all things new it takes some time for people to get used to it.
But digital has allowed us to present our classic music to the fans where maybe before it would be too expensive.
I am generally happy about the possibility of reaching all my fans anytime they want to find me.

合法的な音楽デジタル配信は今は良いと思うわ。
新しいものには皆慣れるのに時間がかかるけど、digitalは私たちのクラシック音楽をどこかで多分高い値がつくまえに提供される事が許されてるから。
私はファンの皆がいつでも手の届く所で私の事を見つけられてとても嬉しいわ。
