1/First I hope to introduce myself.
まずは自己紹介を。

Hi, I'm David Penn from Urbana Recordings (Spain).
I started to study music lessons(piano,harmony) at 9 years old and all my life I felt that the music is inside me.
I follow studing modern harmony and in 1990 start to hear american house music. In 1992 I release my first productions and now I have more than 200.
In 2003 I founded Urbana Recordings and the label is growing up really fast.

こんにちは、僕はスペインのUrbana Recordingsを運営するデヴィッド・ペンです。
9歳からピアノやハーモニーの音楽のレッスンを始めて、生まれてからずっと自分には音楽のセンスがあると感じていたんだ。
それからモダンハーモニーを学びんで、1990年アメリカンハウスミュージックを聴き始めたんだよ。1992年に最初の作品をリリースして、今ではもう200作以上なるかな。
そして、2003年にUrabana Recordingsを設立して、レーベルは急成長しているんだ。

Deux "Sun Rising Up" or "Xpand"

Deuxの"Sun Rising Up"か"Xpand"かな。

3/A gig most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているギグは何ですか？

Maybe the Osaka's night in Sazae with Dimas and Chus & Ceballos Was a really big night with high energy and I'll never forget.
Also in Spain in Freedom Festival with 12000 people dancing in front.

えっと、DimasやChus&CeballosとやったSAZAEでの大阪の夜はエネルギッシュでいい夜だったから、忘れられないな。
あと12000人の前でやったスペインのFreedom Festivalだね。

4/Original of the favor and recent tune or remix?
最近の曲で気に入ってるオリジナル／リミックスは？

Robbie Rivera "Escape" Deux remix is our last Deux production.
About David Penn records, maybe my latest remix with Chus for Defected "Pray For Love" from Jason Hates Jazz.

Deuxの最近の作品で、Robbie Riveraの "Escape" Deux remixだね。
僕のレコードだったら、一番最近ChusとやったJason Hates Jazzからの"Pray For Love"だね。

5/How was this remix or original achieved?
そのリミックス／オリジナルはどうやって制作した？

Robbie made a remix of "Xpand" and we made a remix for him.
We use violins and only use the piano line and the vocals from the original.
About "Pray For Love", we wanted to make a new track, only using the vocals and making a new tune.

Jason, the writter congratulate us because he said that our remix is like an original version because everything fix great.

ロビーが「Xpand」のリミックスをつくってから、僕らがそのリミックスを作ったんだ。
僕らは、バイオリンとピアノの旋律とオリジナルのボーカルだけしか使わなかったんだよ。

「Pray For Love」はね、ヴォーカルだけ使い新しいメロディを作って、新たなトラックを作りたかったんだ。
そしたら、作曲のジェイソンが、僕らのリミックスが上出来でオリジナルバージョンみたいだと言って褒めてくれたんだよね。

6/What do you think of the flow and the music download of digital in the future?
音楽のデジタル配信の流れと将来をどう思う？

I think the music download is the future but the vinyl still continues for Djs.

やっぱり、将来は、音楽はダウンロードされるものになると思うけど、レコード盤はDJのために残っていくね。

7/Why starting make a music with DJ CHUS?
なんでDJ Chusと曲作りを始めたのですか？

I met Chus in 1994 when he want a record for the Kadoc Disco in Portugal.
We had good feeling and we start to make projects together.
We are friends, we love the music and we always enjoy when we produce together.

1994年にChusがポルトガルで、Kadoc Discoのためレコードを探してた時に会ったんだ。
そこで、意気投合しちゃって、一緒にプロジェクトを始めるようになったんだ。
僕らはいい友達だし、音楽が大好きだから、一緒にプロデュースする時はいつも楽しんで出来るんだ。

8/Hows this style, it's different feeling?
このスタイルは、何か違った感じがありましたか？

We make our style mixing his ideas with my ideas.
Our work together is different than when we produce separate.
We spend a lot of time in the production and the sound.
We want to make records that people remember.

彼と僕のアイデアをミックスして、僕らのスタイルを作ってるんだ。
二人でプロデュースする時と別々にする時とではだいぶ違うね。
僕らが、プロデュースするサウンドには、時間がいっぱいかかってしまうんだよね。あと、何よりも記憶に残るレコードを作りたいと思っているんだ。

9/Hows club and music scene in MADRID?
マドリードのクラブと音楽のシーンはどうですか？

In Madrid are really different styles in clubs.
There is a lot of underground scene and commercial scene.
The problem I think is that there is nothing in the middle, like my style.
But everybody says that Madrid is really crazy to go party.
Is my city and I love it.

マドリードではクラブによって全然違ったスタイルがあるんだ。
アンダーグラウンドなシーンとコマーシャルなシーンのどちらかだね。
僕のみたいな中間のスタイルがないんだよ。
でも、みんなマドリードは本当に楽しいって言ってるよ。
もちろん、僕もこの街を愛してるよ。

10/Any new information from URUBANA RECORDINGS?
Urbana Recordingsの最新情報はありますか？

We are going to release new records from Peter Gelderblom "Funky Fever" & Feel The Sunrise" and the Deux "Xpand" remixes by Robbie Rivera, Artificial Funk, Javi Colors & Garc and Peter Gelderblom.
Later we will release David Penn & Dave Storm "Plastic People".
Also we are starting a new Deux single and a new David Penn record...

Peter Gelderblomの新曲「Funky Fever」と「Feel The Sunrise」、それからRobbie Rivera、Artificial Funk、Javi Colors&Garc、Peter GelderblomによるDeux「Xpand」リミックスをリリースするよ。
あと、僕と Dave Stormの「Plastic People」もリリースする予定。
新しいDeuxのシングルと僕の新曲の方も始動してるよ。
