GOGO Music was established in 2001 to give a platform for innovativeclub music and artists. Labelhead and driving force Ralf GUM is a known Producer, Remixer and DJ in the house-scene since the early nineties.

He produced for many renowned labels including ones like Tommy Boy, Compose, Infracom, Peppermint Jam, Milk & Sugar. As a DJ Ralf established as one of Germany's tastemakers, who's able to take listeners on a journey by DJ.
With the invention of GOGO Music he took the next step to spread his love for the right groove around the globe. GOGO Music's sound can be described with "soulful contemporary club music with a live-fee".
The output concentrates on timeless songs instead of putting out a huge quantity of records following the latest trend. Deep house is definitely the main influence on GOGOsﾕ music, but limiting the label to an 'only house-label' misses the point, as its open minded to all danceable musical styles from around the world, as long as it's well written music and groovy.
The label's aim is not to simply copy the already existing; it tries to move forward and to delivers an own definition of sound.

GOGO Music's releases contain well-known artists as Inaya Day, Michael Procter or Dawn Tallman as well as new discoveries as RAW ARTISTIC SOUL or King Club, as the genre is approched with open ears and minds. But no matter who is behind the releases, the label only works on projects and signs music, that it's absolutely passionate about. Due to this fact and as it's always looked for an uncompromisingly high production standard, the global house scene quickly recongnissed GOGO Music as sure surce for great music.

The reputation of GOGO Music is reflected by the UK Hype Chart entries of most of the records and lots of great reviews in different international media. Main DJs as Brian Tappert, Frankie Knuckles, Grant Nelson or Rainer Truby love and play the label's music and it's enjoying an growing community of confessing fans. After having released 15 vinyl and two CDs (including the highly acclaimed RAW ARTISTIC SOUL album 'What About Love') the first balance of GOGO Music looks more than positive.

The 'quality not quantity' philosophy bears fruit and the electronic music-scene has shown their specific interest in the work of GOGO Music and gave vast feedback. Even the music industry seems to be stuck-mostly because of oldfashioned structures and ways of thinking-GOGO Music does not fear the future as the label was born out of the true love towards music and real music will never die.

1/First I hope to introduce myself.
まずは自己紹介を。

I am Ralf GUM-DJ, Producer, Remixer and label-head of GOGO Music, which I founded in 2001 to offer a platform for innovative releases from broken beats to deep house to soulful house.
My main influence and own sound is definatelly deep US vocal sound, but I am also doing a project called "SUGAR BEAT" where we do broken beats together with a live drummer (Steffen Meder) and CrisP.

僕はRalf GUM。ＤＪ、プロデューサー、リミキサーで2001年に、ブレイクビーツからディープハウスからソウルフルハウスまで、独創的なリリースをするために設立したレーベルGOGO Musicのオーナーなんだ。
僕が影響を受けたのも、自身のサウンドも間違いなくアメリカのディープボーカルサウンドだけれど、SUGAR BEATというプロジェクトも手がけていて、ライブ・ドラマーのSteffen MederやCris Pと一緒にブレイクビーツをやっているよ。

2/Project most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているプロジェクトは？

I am just about to finsh a song with Beate S. Lech, the lead voice of Beady Belle, which is definatelly not the average and which will be released in autumn.
It's also the first single of my first album, which is currently in work.

もう少しでBeady Belleのリードシンガー、Beate S. Lechとの曲が仕上がるんだけど、とてもいい出来。秋にリリースされるよ。
これは現在製作中の、僕のファーストアルバムからのファーストシングルでもあるんだ。

3/A gig most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているギグは？

In July I played at the amazing Cocoon Club, which is the new super-club of Sven Vath in Frankfurt (Germany).
The club is definatelly worth a visit.
The sound system and architecture is state of the art.

７月に最高のクラブ、Cocoon Clubでプレイしたよ。ドイツのフランクフルト、Sven Vathにある新しいスーパークラブだ。
絶対に行くだけの価値はあるよ。
サウンドシステムと建築が最先端だったね。

4/Original of the favor and recent tune or remix?
最近の曲で気に入ってるオリジナル／リミックスは？

Just remixed "Miami Theme" by Raw Artistic Soul and I am very happy with the outcome.
A deep jazzy journey...

Raw Artistic Soulの”Miami Theme”をリミックスしたばかりなんだけど、出来にはすごく満足している。
ディープでジャジーな旅って感じだね・・・。

5/How was this remix OR ORIGINAL achieved?
そのリミックス／オリジナルはどうやって制作した？

I released the Original on our "Spring Collection 06" (GOGO 017) and soon the track will get it's full single release containing a Roberto De Carlo Remix and a phat bonus track "Fela Brasil" as well.

オリジナルはGOGO MusicのSpring Collection 06 (GOGO 17)の中でリリースしたんだけど、もうすぐRoberto De Carlo Remixを含めたシングルとしてもリリースされるよ。ボーナストラック”Fela Brasil”も入ってるよ。

6/What do you think of the flow and the music download of digital in the future?
音楽のデジタル配信の流れと将来をどう思う？

I think legal-download is definatelly the future of the music.
Even I am still using vinyl and hope it will stay for long, downloading has many opportunities.
It's just comfortable to listen from at home at any time you want to, it's much quicker than waiting for physical copies and you are able to purchase just the versions/tracks you really want to.

未来は間違いなくダウンロードになるね。
僕はまだレコード盤を使ってるし、まだまだ頑張ってほしいけど、ダウンロードは色んなチャンスを与えてくれるよね。
自宅からいつでも好きなときに聴けるっていうのは手軽だし、レコードやＣＤが出るのを待ってるよりずっと早い。それに自分の欲しいバージョンやトラックだけ選んで購入できるからね。
