About Gemini recordings.
It founded on 2006 in tokyo, as takaya sato's imprint of carrier.
Since then the label has released 2 of sucessful 12" records feat extrawelt,midimilz & the rockitmen.
After a long distance to release, we finall drop the bomb,relocated our operation from tokyo to barcelona and getting closer to minimal techno sound of europe. More release infomation following our homepage or label myspace.

2006年に東京を中心に活動をしていた"Takaya Sato"(dj)によって設立し、
今日はレーベル運営のベースをヨーロッパに移行。
"Takaya Sato"本人もスペイン・バルセロナに本拠地を置き、新天地にて活動を再スタート。
今後もレーベルのリリースプランを控えている。

1/Please introduce yourself.
まず、自己紹介して下さい。

This is Takaya Sato, dj label manegement,a&r for Gemini recordings. relocated my oparation from tokyo to barcelona and continue to work and djing based in europe..

2/Project most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているプロジェクトは何ですか？

simply when we have released 1st release "crsh e.p." Jan 2007
extrawelt was really hot then since after released "titlheld" from Cocoon, we took care of it really carefully.

Gemini第一弾シングルを発売するまでのプロセスは大変でした。
ちょうどextraweltの話題が沸騰していた時期で、border community,traum,kompass,cocoonをはじめとする有名レーベルのリリースするレコードのクオリティに批准を合せるのには苦労しました。

3/A gig most recently remained in memories?
最近一番記憶に残っているギグは何ですか？

existence festival 06-07 new year party in spain.
if you are dj in japan nomaly djs are hard to get booking oversea,however I was luckly booked and played the end of the festival,I was really impressed people liked what I played and good feedback from the floor.
it was really good new year!.

2006年から07年へのニューイヤーパーティ in Spain,
幸運な事にブッキングされ、フェスティバルの執りをつとめ、
フロアーから多大なフィードバックをもらいました。
今後は活動の場がヨーロッパなので、スペイン国内に加え、
国外でのＤＪ活動に指針を合せています。

4/How do you start to create a track. Is it a different process than making a remix?
そのリミックス／オリジナルはどうやって制作しましたか？

Orlando Voorn and Rennie Foster are working together long time,when we decided to release Orland's track,we ask for remix rennie easily and he made eccentric experimetal modern minimal! should be loved by house listener.

OrlandoとRennie はいわばNight Vision recordsのレーベルメイトで、
この曲をリリースすると決定したとき、自然にレニーにリミックスを依頼しました。
このコンビネーションはデトロイト系テクノが好きな人には生唾もののリリースだと思います。
勿論それ以外のリスナーにも。

この曲のリリースは、いつですか？

May 20th on digital format

５月２０日にデジタルで、リリースします。

6/What do you think about music download sites?
音楽のデジタル配信の流れをどう思う？

It's great! we just follow basic business model today and try to continue for work.
it's easier to release tracks only by digital then print.
producers are having much chance to appear the tracks at the moment and then also harder to be watched from the listeners..

その時代時代の音楽ビジネスにフォーマットを合わせてやっていくだけですね。
今の時代、わざわざレコードを印刷しなくてもオンラインでトラックを購入できるし
便利でお手軽ですよね。
アーティストも曲を発表するベースが増えて、いいと思います。
ただ、その反面、メディアに突出するのはより難しくなるでしょうね。
より強い個性が求められる時代なんじゃないでしょうか。
